Francien Dechesne

Francien Dechesne is associate professor at the eLaw center for Law and Digital Technologies in the Leiden Law School. From a background in computer science, mathematics and philosophy, she teaches Ethics and Digital Technologies to Law students, and coordinates a university wide minor program on AI & Society for the Leiden University SAILS network on AI. She is one of five founding members of the national initiative “Teaching Responsible AI (TRAI)”. She organized several interdisciplinary workshops exploring formats for meaningful and productive interactions between exact sciences, social sciences and humanities.
