Activities

Besides the extensive programme, there was much more to experience at the ONE Conference. There was an Expo, a Talent Hub, Matchmaking area and, of course, all day coffee/tea for extensive networking opportunities.

Expo

This year there was an Expo on the first floor of World Forum. The theme of the expo was  “Let’s collaborate”. There were 28 booths where organisations showcase their collaborations with regards to cybersecurity. A variety of organisations exhibited their success stories and learnings.

Off course the organising parties behind the conference (NCSC, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, and Municipality of The Hague) were present at the ONE as well. The ONE Conference is one of the examples of collaborative initiatives in the field of cybersecurity. Let’s connect at the ONE!

ONE Talent Hub

New this year at the ONE Conference was the ONE Talent Hub. It was a place for networking and obtaining information on the subject of talent. The ONE Talent Hub covered three topics: Development, Policy and Labour.

The hub is not just for students but is for all visitors to the ONE Conference who:

  • are looking for (new) work opportunities
  • are looking to develop themselves in the cybersecurity field
  • are interested in what is happening in the policy field on talent in cybersecurity

In the Hub, talent is introduced to the various opportunities within cybersecurity, both in the field of work, education and policy. On the other hand, it is a great opportunity for organisations and companies to meet talent. Feel free to visit the ONE Talent Hub on both conference days, no separate registration aside from your registration for the ONE Conference is necessary.

Networking

We like to encourage networking at the ONE Conference to make that right connection. Participants were free to choose to take part in the programme or to join the networking activities at the ONE. There was all day coffee and tea, a network lunch, and a network drink at the end of both days. To make it easier to connect with people outside your own network we offered an app to facilitate matchmaking. On the first floor was a dedicated Matchmaking area where you could plan your one on one meetings. You could choose who to meet with or you can get invited for a meeting. You simply swipe right or left to accept or decline.

If you have indicated in the registration that you are interested in matchmaking you can schedule appointments with the help of the Networkapp. If you have indicated you do not want to particpate in matchmaking, you can’t access the app. If you still want use the platform to view the floorplan and programme you can pick up a unique code at the Networkapp Support desk (central reception in the lobby on the ground floor). You will still need to log in with an e-mail address. However, this does not have to be the e-mail address you registered with.
