Raymond Doijen has broad experience in cybersecurity and, as the current Secretary of the Cyber Security Council in the Netherlands, he works across public, private and scientific partnerships. He started his current job in early 2022 and prior to that held several (management) positions in the security domain. For more than 6 years, he served as manager at the Dutch National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in the areas of advice, knowledge sharing, (scientific) research, and security analysis. Before that, Raymond served for 15 years within the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, during which he was department head, program manager, project leader and cybersecurity expert at the Dutch National Communications Security Agency. In these roles, he was also active in NATO and EU security committees and working groups. He holds master’s degrees in mathematics, focusing on cryptology and coding theory, and Information Management. In addition, he was a guest lecturer for postdoc courses at TU Eindhoven and Tias/Nimbas and a member of several advisory boards for cybersecurity education and research bodies.
