“Michel Rademaker, as the deputy executive Director and co-founder of HCSS, brings extensive expertise from his fifteen-year tenure in The Royal Netherlands Army, including diverse operational and staff roles and service in former Yugoslavia. Holding a master’s degree from the University of Tilburg, TIAS Nimbas, he later spent a decade at TNO as a program manager and senior policy advisor, contributing notably as NATO RTO project leader, spearheading serious gaming assessment methodologies for disruptive technologies.
In his role at HCSS, Rademaker spearheads product and project development, specializing in (inter)national multi-stakeholder initiatives addressing emerging strategic security and geo-economic issues such as cyber threats and resource scarcity. His proficiencies span security strategy, policy formulation, technology assessments, and the geopolitical ramifications of climate change, resource scarcity, and energy supply. Notably, he has overseen the integration of big data analytics into projects, creating interactive monitoring tools, and has co-organized Cyber Security Schools with partners like NATO and Europol, India and South-Africa.”
