Cybersecurity threats continue to evolve and pose increasingly significant risks to organisations and individuals. In practice, we face cybersecurity challenges that have such a complex or systemic origin that they push the limits of how deeply individual organisations can understand and manage them in a sustainable manner. In academia, we tend to have the capacity and capability to analyse such deeper challenges, but we tend to be several steps removed from the manifestation of the problem. Is this just the way it is, or can we come up with ways to jointly identify challenges and contribute to solutions exactly when and where they are most pressing? The objective of this workshop is to create a space to bring representatives from individual organisations together with members of academia to identify and brainstorm about how stronger collaboration can help organisations navigate the complex cybersecurity landscape, and how to improve such a collaboration. We invite you to jointly explore possibilities in industry-academia collaborations to accelerate understanding of and solutions for the currently most fundamental or pressing challenges. Organised by the ACademic Cyber Security Society (ACCSS) in collaboration with NWO and dcypher.
