Hacks at ODIDO and Clinical Diagnostics, and data breaches at various trusted government organisations such as GGD, Police, Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen and many others all imply the obvious: we need better protection of our sensitive data. This calls for new approaches for still too often neglected threats. For this purpose, Radboud University’s iHub has been developing a novel sovereign approach for the responsible access management, storage, and sharing of sensitive data based on an encryption algorithm named PEP (Polymorphic Encryption and Pseudonymisation).
In this talk Sanne Vonk-van Denderen (CISO @ Radboud University) and Joep Bos-Coenraad (PEP project lead) dive into the ‘privacy by design’ mechanisms that make this system so strong and unique and share some practical cases.
