With a background as a social scientist, criminologist and cyber security specialist, Mrs. Floor Jansen has a multidisciplinary view on cybercrime. She is a typical scientist on the job.
After having worked as a strategic advisor of this team for 8 years, she set up the Cyber Offender Prevention Squad (COPS) under the wings of NHTCU in 2020. This team develops interventions to prevent and disrupt perpetrators of cybercrime. She acted for about 2 years as deputy head of the National High Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU), including the Child Exploitation Team, Electronic Crimes Taskforce, Warehouse, Team Cyber Enabled Crimes, Cyber Offender Prevention Squad, and CLB LOCO of the Dutch Police. In June 2024 she moved towards the field of Environmental Crimes as head of the unit. In order to connect the fields of Environmental and High Tech Crimes, she has a part time advising role within her former unit. The link between these two fields is clear: both are necessities to preserve the future safety of the Netherlands.
