Martin Grisel is the Director and founder of the European Urban Knowledge Network (EUKN EGTC), a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) that supports national governments, EU institutions, and other stakeholders in the field of urban policy and research. With over 20 years of experience in this role, Martin has developed core competencies in EU policy, urban policy and research, political and strategic skills, programme management, and international networking skills.
Martin has been closely involved in the making of key strategic urban agendas, such as the Urban Agenda for the EU (2016), the New Urban Agenda (2016), and the New Leipzig Charter (2020), and the further development of the Urban Agenda for the EU. As the EUKN, we are involved in several EU Horizon research projects on nature-based solutions and urban health.
