Koen Yskout

Dr. Koen Yskout is a research manager in the DistriNet research group of KU Leuven (Belgium). There, he supervises and collaborates with a research team on topics related to secure software engineering, and security by design in particular. This includes, for example, secure design processes and methodologies, design (meta-)models and notations, patterns, and empirical evaluations of these. He obtained his PhD in 2013, investigating the use of security patterns to bridge the gap between security requirements and software architecture. Currently, automated threat modeling is the most active research topic within his team.
