Daan Rijnders
Daan Rijnders leads the Cyber Secure The Hague program which focuses on The Hague’s unique risk profile as International City of Peace & Justice and the cyber resilience of the local critical infrastructure & processes. Previously, he was responsible for the development of the city’s cybersecurity innovation & entrepreneurial ecosystem. Before joining the city in 2014 Daan was the co-founder/partner of a company in the event industry. Currently, he is also a member of the G20 Global Smart City Alliance Cyber Resilience Taskforce and a member of the general board of the JASON Institute.
Daan holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Organizational Science from Utrecht University, a master’s degree in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University and an MBA from Quantic School of Business & Technology. He earned an Executive Certificate in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School by completing the Emerging Leaders, Cybersecurity and Leadership Decision Making programs.
