Stefan leads the Crisis Preparation team at the Netherlands National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-NL) and also works at the NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence (C2COE). At NCSC-NL, he focuses on the preparation, coordination, and evaluation of cyber crisis scenarios. At the NATO C2COE, he serves as a Staff Officer, where his research interests include civil-military cooperation, human factors, leadership, and team performance in the context of resilient and effective crisis response. Previously, Stefan worked at Erasmus University Medical Centre as Manager of Medical Technology and as a scientific researcher. He holds an MSc in Medical Informatics from Erasmus University and a PhD in Signal Processing, with a focus on developing novel patient monitoring methods in cardiology.
