Michael Vallone

Michael is a Director with Booz Allen Hamilton and leads Booz Allen’s Cyber Risk Management Practice. Michael leads the firm’s Commercial Cyber Risk Management Practice and has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, engineering, and risk management roles. As the firm’s Cyber Risk Lead, he leads teams through the design, development, and implementation of world-class cyber risk programs inclusive of cyber risk quantification efforts and  third party and supply chain risk. His expertise lies in applying an offensive cyber threat mindset and leading industry practices (COBIT, FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.) to designing fit-for-purpose cybersecurity and risk management programs that vastly enhance the cyber resiliency of his client’s business and enables them to systematically make analytical, risk-informed investment decisions (i.e., Cyber ROI).
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Michael worked in engineering and technology consulting for several businesses, including an early dot-com-era technology startup, a large defense contractor, and a Big 4 consulting firm. His career has taken him to more than 25 countries, where he often spent significant time onsite leading large-scale cybersecurity and engineering transformations. Michael holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University and an Executive Scholar Degree in Corporate Strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business.
