Hong Gie Ong is a Threat Intelligence Officer in ING’s Global CISO Cyber Threat Management team and liaison to (cross ) sector CTI collaboration initiatives, including the Dutch Financial CERT (FCERT) and (inter-) national intelligence sharing communities. With over 20 years of information security experience across financial services, government, and critical infrastructure, he now focuses on translating threat intelligence into concrete defensive action. He is actively involved in renewing the TaHiTI framework, strengthening the link between intelligence, hypothesis driven hunting, and operational decision making. Outside work, he competes on the tennis court, plays piano, and explores stand up comedy—where hypotheses are rigorously stress tested.
