Geert is a senior policy officer working at the Digital Economy Department at the ministry of Economic Affairs. The Cyber Resilience Act is one of the topics he is actively engaged in, both in the European negotiations on the regulation as well as on its national implementation. He also concerns himself with digital open strategic autonomy and with international cybersecurity policy. Geert has a background in history and public administration, and previously worked as a Justice and Home Affairs counsellor at the Dutch Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels.
