The NCSC is the UK’s technical authority for cyber security. It is part of GCHQ, one of the UK’s security services, and was formed in 2016.
The NCSC was set up to help protect our critical services from cyber-attacks, manage major incidents, and improve the underlying security of the UK Internet through technological improvement and advice to citizens and organisations. The NCSC’s vision is to help make the UK the safest place to live and do business online.
David has over five years of experience in Cyber Physical System Security at the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), advising on Critical National Infrastructure (CNI). My work encompasses a range of major transformation initiatives in collaboration with UK industry, in addition to developing key guidance documents. These guidance products include the NCSC’s Cloud SCADA guidance and the Privileged Access Workstations (PAW) principles. My current focus is on establishing best practices for secure connectivity within the Operational Technology (OT) domain, aiming to strengthen resilience and security standards across critical systems.
