In a context where cyberattacks on OT environments are becoming increasingly frequent and sophisticated, CSIRT-CV has created the Industrial Cybersecurity Excellence Center, with the aim of addressing the convergence of IT and OT threats in an integrated manner.
One of the center’s main initiatives is the OT Cybersecurity Laboratory, an advanced lab that simulates real critical infrastructures, such as hospitals and smart cities, to study the vulnerabilities of these systems. This laboratory is not only used for research but also as a training tool for various groups, both public and private.
The laboratory includes environments such as honeynets with real PLCs, simulations of attacks on medical systems and urban infrastructures. Additionally, a portable version of the laboratory is being developed, which can be moved to different locations to train more people across the country.
CSIRT-CV is committed to open collaboration between the public and private sectors. The goal is to improve industrial cybersecurity, bridge the gap around OT cybersecurity, and build a more resilient ecosystem against emerging threats.
