Resilience is a fundamental principle for dealing with cyber threats. Therefore, organisations primarily collaborate bilaterally to address cyber challenges. However, actions that extend beyond traditional bilateral relationships can have unintended consequences that hinder cyber resilience. To overcome these effects, we must think and act systemically. In other words, we must build cyber ecosystems. By collaborating with multiple partners simultaneously, organisations can respond to threats more rapidly, share resources, and develop solutions collectively. This is considered a paradigm shift because organisations must align their strategies, operations, and work processes, both internally and with ecosystem partners. This leads to continuous transformation, offering organisations a way to effectively adapt to cyber change.
