We founded the Digitale Dolle Mina’s because the digital world must not be left out when it comes to women’s rights. But perhaps even more importantly, during the hack of Clinical Diagnostics, sensitive data of nearly a million women was stolen, and the response was underwhelming at best.
Our talk will focus on what went wrong in the communication following the hack and, more importantly, what needs to be in place to do better next time. We will follow the timeline of the hack and the corresponding communication to highlight how crisis communication should have been handled, and zoom out to question some societal flaws in who benefits and who bears the risks of data.
