Vasco Rikkers

PhD Candidate in Cybersecurity

University of Twente and TNO

Vasco Rikkers is a second-year PhD candidate in Cybersecurity at the University of Twente and TNO. His research addresses secure cloud computing, with a focus on fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) and the trade-offs involved in practical privacy-preserving computation. His current work focuses on privacy-preserving collaboration in cloud settings and secure graph analysis on sensitive data, with the aim of moving FHE towards practical, deployable applications. Beyond this, his research interests include applied cryptography, secure computation, and privacy-preserving technologies more broadly. He also has an interest in presenting and teaching cybersecurity concepts in ways that are accessible to non-technical and interdisciplinary audiences.
