Hans van Loon has served as the Program Manager for the Netherlands Encryption Strategy at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations since early 2024. He brings extensive experience as a project and program manager across both the public and private sectors. In the ten years preceding his current role, he held positions at the Ministry of Defense, Damen Naval, a critical water infrastructure company, and within the banking sector. His expertise lies in managing programs and projects related to cybersecurity and broader security issues. Hans began his career in this field approximately 15 years ago, gaining foundational experience at TNO and Fox-IT.
