Michel Coene is Director of Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Threat Intelligence at NVISO, where he leads the CSIRT team of incident responders, forensic analysts, intelligence analysts, and malware reverse engineers responding to cyber incidents worldwide. With a Master’s degree in Digital Investigation and Forensic Computing from University College Dublin, Michel combines deep technical expertise with hands-on experience across APT-style incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat intelligence. He has led complex engagements involving long-dwell intrusions, supply chain attacks, ransomware investigations, and covert data exfiltration cases. Beyond client work, Michel is a SANS instructor teaching SEC599: Defeating Advanced Adversaries — Purple Team Tactics and Kill Chain Defenses. He has presented at the SANS Threat Hunting and Incident Response Summit and RSA Abu Dhabi.
