Jim Boevink is a cyber security expert who unites public and private sectors to combat digital threats. His career began in Amsterdam as a civil servant, where he worked on a mayoral task force to enhance the city’s digital safety. He then moved to KPMG’s Cyber department, advising public sector clients. A key achievement at KPMG was leading the multi-year rollout of the Dutch international cyber capacity-building program. This initiative aimed to foster public-private cooperation and build resilient digital ecosystems globally. During his work at KPMG he became part of the CyberPeace Builders Program (an initiative of the CyberPeace Institute) in which cybersecurity experts volunteer a part of their time to support NGO’s. He became entangled by supporting organizations that provide critical humanitarian services to those most in need. As a senior cybersecurity projectmanager working for the Institute, he now leads all initiatives directed at strengthening cyber resilience of Dutch civil society organizations.
