Day 2

The art of analysis

Theme:
Future of Cybersecurity
Session complexity:
Time:

For the ONE, the NCSC will publish the SATs toolbox (naming will change, this is a draft title). SAT stands for structured analytic techniques and are techniques that have been used for decades in the security domain to properly deal with uncertainties. In fact, SATs help to work more effectively and efficiently. SATs are crucial to ensure quality assurance when performing analyses. Despite the fact that the use of SATs in the integral security domain is the norm, this does not apply to the digital security domain. Therefore, through this presentation, we want to lower the barrier to adoption and raise awareness of the existence of these techniques and the toolbox.
In this presentation, we want to discuss two topics. (1) the added value of SATs for digital resilience, (2) the SATs toolbox and (3) explaining a use case where the added value remains clear. Point (3) will probably be designed in cooperation with CTI/DA.
