11:00 – 11:15
Title: Talk: A young Cyberbrain
Description: Henk van Ee, chairman of the Cyberbrein.nl Foundation, will explain his recent research and experiences with early recognition of young cyberbrains in the talk. This starts at the end of primary school. It is very important to start guiding young cyberbrains at a very young age. After all, cybercriminals are just as capable at recognizing their talents.

Title: Honeypots in Action: Understanding the Speed of Internet Scans
Description: This presentation provides a live demonstration of how quickly systems on the internet are scanned and attacked as soon as they go online. We deploy vulnerable machines (honeypots) and demonstrate in real-time how swiftly attackers become active by showing the first attacks immediately after setting up these honeypots.
We begin with a brief introduction to the importance of monitoring tools in cybersecurity. Then, we set up live systems that, immediately after activation, are exposed to scans and attacks. Through visualizations, we instantly display the incoming data, such as the frequency of scans, attack methods, and the origin of attackers.
This demonstration offers insight into current internet threats and emphasizes the need for continuous monitoring and proactive security measures. The presentation concludes with an informative overview of how this knowledge can contribute to a better understanding of digital threats and the necessity for ongoing monitoring.
