Nicholas Witchell is the Royal and Diplomatic Correspondent, and a senior news presenter. As law graduate, Nick joined the BBC as a news trainee and worked as a reporter in Northern Ireland for four years before moving to London. He then completed a number of assignments in Beirut, including the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, and later the war in Bosnia. Nick was one of the founding presenters of the Six O’clock News, which became the most widely watched news programme on British television.
