Saskia Westers has a university background in Psychology & Law and Forensic Criminology. After working in the private sector, she works as a researcher at the Cybersafety Research Group and lecturer Cybersafety. She carries out research focussed on security issues around digitization. Specifically, research about digital resilience, policing in a digitised society and local government in cyberspace. As a lecturer she contributes to Cybersafety education, a keystone at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences.
