Marijn Fraanje has been appointed as CIO of the city of The Hague on August 1, 2016. His main goal as CIO is the further digitalisation of the municipality organisation, the stimulation of data utilization in policy making and digital innovation within de public space of the city. All with the intention to contribute to solutions for the city challenges The Hague faces.

He strongly believes in cross municipality cooperation and because of that participates in both national and international platforms for cooperation. The Hague as the International city of Peace and Justice has a strong emphasis on cyber security and responsible use of data. Marijn’s aim is to bring those values into practice in the projects that are done in the Hague like living lab Scheveningen.
