Dr Klaus Kursawe has been active on applied security research, training and advisory since 2001, working e.g. for IBM, Philips, KU Leuven and Radboud University. He is a cofounder of the ENCS and is now involved in several Startup companies. While he started his career on Byzantine Fault tolerance (i.e., Blockchains) and is still active there, his focus since 2010 is security of critical infrastructures, where he also has been active in several EU and US expert groups.
