Dr. Erik Schrijvers is a senior member of the scientific staff of the Netherlands Scientific Council for Government Policy. The past few years he both contributed to and coordinated projects on topics such as big data and security policies, the governance of the internet and digital government. His most recent report – just published – deals with the aftermath of digital disruption and the resilience of Dutch government en society. Erik obtained his doctorate at Utrecht University in philosophy and history of international relations. In 2012 he obtained a PhD in political history. Between 2016 and 2017 he was attached on an interim basis to the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, as scientific secretary to the Information Society and Government study group.
