Manon Nobbenhuis (23) has started her professional career in the field of cybersecurity at September 2021 when she was working as cyber-trainee at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-NL) of the Netherlands. Not long before that she graduated from the MSc Crisis and Security Management with a specialization in cybersecurity governance, at the University of Leiden.
During her studies she became interested in the human perception and behavior with regards to cyber threats and cybersecurity. This interest grew during her time at the NCSC-NL. There, she wrote about the several risks of weak authentication methods, unreliable password policies in organizations and ways to improve security through stronger authentication methods. Currently, she continues to work in the cybersecurity field at the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
