Fostering strategic autonomy for the European ecosystem; perspectives for companies in emerging cybersecurity technologies to scale and maintain their knowledge base

Track: Innovation
Technical level
Time: 13:00

The Dutch government works to maintain a strong knowledge base for the development of emerging cybersecurity technologies through multiple policy instruments, from subsidizing fundamental research to supporting market entry for new spin-out companies. The long-term perspective of these interventions is to have a sustainable market mechanism that supports further growth and funds the investments needed to stay ahead of the game internationally. However, the Netherlands is a relatively small country that punches above its weight when it comes to fundamental research.

To help fuel the market growth needed for a sustainable business model, international scaling and coalition building with suppliers and integrators is thus often necessary. dcypher, a public private partnership to support the Dutch cyber innovation ecosystem, is supporting stakeholders with their international ambitions through a program of innovation missions and brokerage events.

In this session, we will discuss the strategic considerations underlying this programming, the programmatic priorities in the Netherlands and the European Union and highlight the activities in 2022 and 2023, and how you can get involved.
