This talk will present the results of psychological research on cybersecurity behavior. Data from a large sample of organizations and employees provides understanding of the current status of people’s awareness and behavior: How much do they actually know about current risks, threats and desired behavior? Do they possess the necessary skills? How motivated are people for the topic of cybersecurity and is this more internal or external motivation? These results provide valuable insights that give direction to the next steps to be taken on the human factor in cybersecurity and concrete advise to leaders/ C-level in organizations dealing with this challenge.
