The next big increase in information sharing organizations will be cities. Cities need to be aware of dependencies on cyber infrastructures and the impact of a cyber event. While there is growing federal support for cities, it is not enough for a major cyber event. We need to think and act like we are Hawaii where emergency managers understand when a disaster hits, they are initially on their own and must be prepared to handle whatever hits. The same is true with cyber events. Should a major event occur, the government does not have the resources to help every city.
