Cyber exercises are a great way to test your operational procedures in real-life situations. Setting up an exercise can seem like a demanding task, but did you know that there are dozens of different ways to build an exercise? This presentation explores various ways you can design and set up an exercise from a simple table-top scenario to a complicated live-fire exercise in your own technical environment. The presentation contains a case study of an international CERT exercise held by Finland and Estonia in 2019 and details the Finnish National Cyber Security Center's efforts on how to build a support service for cyber exercises in the critical infrastructure.
