Forcyd, together with the Ministry of Justice & Security, has developed a novel, technical, approach to defensibly filtering (legally) privileged information from digital evidence. Digital evidence acquired from any type of source and context, from cyber(crime) and incidents to full regulatory investigations. As part of this approach the NL workgroup on modernizing the criminal justice system, representing all law enforcement, intelligence, public prosecutors, lawmakers and the Dutch association of lawyers and notary’s, joined the discussion on finding a technical solution to the problem of (legal) privilege in digital evidence. Forcyd will demonstrate the technology by means of a PoC and will guide the audience through the actual process of identifying, filtering and reviewing for privilege.
