Cyber Security & Innovation: at the Core of NATO’s Digital Endeavour

Cyber security innovation is at the heart of NATO’s Digital Endeavour - allowing us to solve existing and emerging security challenges using out-of-the-box, creative approaches. Join us and make yourself heard! During this highly interactive session, we will bring together cyber security experts from industry, academia, government, and the open source community in order to present diverse perspectives on the role and directions of cyber security innovation and to discuss current and future trends, opportunities and disruptive developments within cyber security.

During the session, NATO Allied Command Transformation will provide a short briefing on the role of co-innovation and collaboration with the civilian world, including governments, industry and academia, for ensuring Cyber Security of NATO and NATO partners. This will be followed by the NCI Agency briefing on cyber security within the NATO Enterprise and its role within the “digital endeavour”; focusing on specific areas for growth, innovation and development. The panel discussion “Cyber Intelligence: Bridging Two Worlds” will present diverse perspectives - including military, academia, industry and international organizations - on civil-military collaboration for cyber intelligence gathering, sharing and identification of applicable courses of action. Panel members will respond to questions corresponding to cyber security technologies, emerging developments, challenges and opportunities related to cyber intelligence civil-military collaboration. Audience members are encouraged to participate and share their opinions on the topic of the panel. The event will finish with a rump session consisting of short presentations relating to tough challenges and innovation in cyber security.
